Certification Committee

The association is assisted and advised by the certification committee. The certification committee has at least six members, half of whom may be members of the managing committee as well.

Dr. Ernst-Rudolf Bauer
MSc in business management, Ph.D. in economics. Dr. Bauer has been the Managing Director of Preh GmbH (Ltd.) since 1996. His areas of responsibility include accounting and finance, controlling, logistics, purchasing, human resources and IT as well as the entire product range Electronics. Accounts of the Preh Group have been prepared according to IAS/IFRS since 2000.
Bild Prof. Edenhofer
Prof. Dr. Thomas Edenhofer, auditor/tax consultant
has been working for Deloitte Industry Line TMT (Technology, Media, Telecommunication) for more than twelve years. He mainly audits and advises multinational and national medium-sized companies (in particular industrial, media and branded goods companies) as well as municipal utilities. He is a professor of auditing and tax auditing with focuses on individual and group audit, special audit/internal audit, going-concern valuation, transfer of companies and restructuring.

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Foerschle
Born in 1939, MSc in business management (University of Mannheim), Ph.D. (University of Saarbruecken). Joined the Treuhand-Vereinigung AG in 1969, has been a tax consultant since 1972 and an auditor since 1974. 1995 successor company C&L Deutsche Revision AG, 1998 – 2001 successor company PwC Deutsche Revision AG. 1983 – 2001 Head of general department accounting and auditing. 1999 Honorary professor (University of Frankfurt). Since 2002, Professor Foerschle has been self-employed as an auditor and tax consultant.

Liesel Knorr, auditor, tax consultant
1971 MSc in business management, University of Cologne. 1978 start of work at the Düsseldorf office of Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft. 1982 certification as a tax consultant, 1984 certification as an auditor. 1984 – 1989 posting at the Brussels office. Partner since 1988 (introduction of the partner status at KPMG). 1989 – 1994 KPMG Deutsche Treuhand, Cologne. Appointments by the European Commission in Bulgaria, Russia and Vietnam. 1994 – 1999 technical director of the IASC. Since 1999, executive director of “Deutsches Rechnungslegungs Standards Committee e.V.” (German Accounting Standards Committee). Since fall semester of 2001, lecturer at the International Accounting University in Potsdam. Since 2004, executive director of “Deutsche Prüfstelle für Rechnungslegung e.V.“ (German Financial Reporting Enforcement Panel).

Ms. Knorr is the author of numerous publications.

Dr. Silke Peemoeller, MSc in business management, tax consultant
has been teaching international accounting to accountants, entrepreneurs and tax consultants for many years. Dr. Peemoeller is also a shareholder of “Fachakademie für Rechnungslegung und Steuerrecht” (Accounting and Taxation Academy) in Wuerzburg, Germany, and organizes advanced training courses in the fields of taxation and international accounting according to IFRS/US-GAAP. She runs the tax consultancy Dr. Peemoeller which focuses on advising freelancers and entrepreneurs.

Prof. Dr. Volker Peemoeller
Professor of business studies and head of the general business studies department, particularly auditing, at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. His focuses are balance sheet analysis and financial controlling, going-concern valuation and international accounting.
