President of German Standardization Council (DSR) to Speak at Symposium
Ms. Liesel Knorr, President of the German Standardization Council and a member of the Certification Committee of the German Institute for Certification in Accounting (DIZR e.V.) is scheduled to speak at the symposium "Internationalization in Accounting" in Nuremberg on November 22, 2007, about the fiercely discussed proposal for an IFRS concerning SMEs.
This is the first time that the symposium organized by the Academy for Accounting and Taxation (FRS) will be hosted in cooperation with the German Institute for Certification in Accounting (DIZR e.V.). DIZR members will be granted a discount of 10% on the registration fee.

New Certification Test Center from November 30, 2007 on
From November 30, 2007 on, the certification exam "Certified IFRS Accountant" can also be taken in Düsseldorf.
Certification exams for "Certified IFRS Accountant Basic" and "Certified IFRS Accountant Advanced" take place at the following locations:
- Munich
- Nuremberg
- Frankfurt
- Hamburg
- Düsseldorf
German Institute for Certification in Accounting (DIZR e.V.) founded
On 9 November 2005, the German Institute for Certification in Accounting (DIZR e.V.) was founded in Nuremberg, Germany. The goals of the registered association are certifying training courses in the field of accounting, administering exams in the field of accounting as well as issuing certificates.
Common requirements for training in international accounting have not been established yet. This is why the German Institute for Certification in Accounting (DIZR e.V.) has set itself the target of standardizing test requirements. The DIZR will award certificates to those participants who can demonstrate sufficient proficiency and knowledge of IFRS.
The founder members are renowned experts from the fields of international accounting and international taxation. They are going to form the Managing Committee and the Certification Committee.
